YOUR RESUME

Structure and Formatting

◆ The standard resume (for Hollywood) separates Film, TV and Theater in that order.

◆ Resumes should be simplistic in form and style.

What to Include / Exclude

◆ If you have commercial credits, include a phrase such as (Commercial credits available upon request).

◆ Like any resume, after a certain time, you will start dropping credits that don’t add anything anymore.

◆ As a general rule, though, you shouldn’t include anything pre-college – no high school or middle-school plays.

When Should You Stretch the Truth?

◆ NEVER

◆ Adding false resume entries or falsifying your actual role in a production will almost always come back to haunt you.

◆ Especially when you’re auditioning for the Casting Director who cast the project you faked on your resume.
